Description
The Portuguese Rooster of Barcelos is considered to be the unofficial symbol of Portugal. The Barcelos Rooster and its colourful patterns represent the embodiment of the Portuguese love of life. It's a symbol of faith, good luck and justice. The rooster of Barcelos is the most famous souvenir from Portugal.
The legend of the Rooster of Barcelos or the "Old Cock of Barcelos", tells the story of a dead rooster's miraculous intervention in proving the innocence of a Spanish pilgrim who had been falsely accused and sentenced to death by hanging.
The Portuguese good-luck roosters are ideal for displaying in kitchens or as a perfect gift. Order yours today to bring the mystique of Faith, Good Luck and Justice to your own home.
